Yashica EZ F521: First Look
by Miserere
Earlier this week I received an e-mail from Japan Exposures owner, Dirk Rösler, informing me that he received a single unit of the Yashica EZ F521. He has posted his first impressions and some sample pictures here.
He’s also posted a video: A first look at the Yashica EZ F521 at Japan Exposures.
One thing that’s been confirmed is that the menus are available in a number of languages. Apart from Japanese, they also come in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Dutch.
Dirk will start shipping preordered cameras next week. Stay tuned!

I want that Fujicolor 1600.
ISO 1600 color film is always good for reminding us of just how good today’s digital cameras are.
My F521 is in the mail, can’t wait for it to get here…
Hi,
Just received the camera through Japan Exposures and one thing puzzles me a lot – the image sequencing. No meter if I download images from the card, or from the camera to the computer with a cable, they always start with the first sequence number – SUNP0001. Asked Dirk, but he doesn’t know why. Anyone else knows?!
I haven’t used mine enough, but I have already realised it’s full of little quirks like this.
Another blog entry on this camera, maybe of interest:
